decision made painting the butcher block my favorite color pink and keeping the top natural

 this would be great for extra storage don’t know if i need it with 34 cabinets and a free standing butcher block.  i like it in the white or maybe in a natural wood color to match my table. i already own one in brown/black

we have a working bathroom

so ace’s bathroom has come along way since we originally got the house.

the bathroom started out a plan white room and ended up  purple jelly bean by martha stewart 

we repaired the large hold made by removing the original medicine cabinet and added a new light fixture

i also added some rice paper covering to the windows for privacy. this windows actually sits in the shower and has a clear view of my neighbors living room.  the room also got a new mirror, toilet and shower head. 

here is the the some what finished product

i do have to some do accessorize it and put up some shelves but I am very pleased for right now.

it's hard to believe that my grandmother actually had one in her home when i was little. she is still so stylish.

i only missed one day not bad for my first week huh?

i bought a light fixture

so i took the plunge and purchased a light fixture this weekend. i was originally inspired by this one that jen ramos from made by girl had for sale on her web site.

it was originally in her previous home but i missed out. i didn’t cry for to long and started checking out overstock.com for another option and came across this lovely little number

and the price was not that bad either, but for some reason i could not bring myself to buy it so i continued the search. 

Well this weekend while catching up on my blogs i came across this lovely item in the home of mrs. chic at chic little house.

she not only had the light i wanted but she provided all the info for me to have one of my very own now.  i'm just waiting for it to arrive and my dad to help me install it.

365 day project

i just celebrated my 28^th birthday on thursday so to commemorate me nearing the end of my twenty’s i decided to start a 365 day project. i will be capturing the next 365 days of my life through photos. i hope this project will help me learn a lot more about myself and offer an opportunity to look back at all the wonderful things that happen throughout the year.  i really hope that you enjoy it and that i can keep up with taking a photo ever day. oh, great news I finally found my camera that’s been lost since october so ever shot you see wont be from my evo.
