the to do list

due to life and its many twist and unexpected turns i haven’t done much work lately, so i’m going to get my act together and finish some must do projects.  i’m given myself a deadline of may 6^th mother’s day weekend with the hopes that some of my projects will be done as a gift (hint hint):

ô  paint ceiling in the hallway

ô  buy 2^nd bathroom light fixture

ô  install new lighting in both the bathrooms

ô  hang mirror in the master bathroom

ô  paint and hang mirror for the hall bathroom

ô  paint office/guest room closet, trim the base boards and windows ( maybe do some touch up on the ceiling)

ô  paint living room floor and trim the base boards

ô  install new hot water heater

ô  install new toilets

ô  clean, clean, clean

yes i do have lofty aspirations but i can do it!

kitchen wall color

i can't decide on a wall color for my kitchen at all. i have gone between an icy gray, a cool cobalt blue, and a soft girly pink. i am currently loving the pink one because it the color of my nails and two because it's the color of my bedroom. the color pink is just the perfect color i have already painted my bedroom the perfect color of hot pink so take a look and let me know what you think...

weekend finds!

this weekend was perfect for shopping so i took advantage and checked out a few places and found some great items. the first is a bowl that i spotted at big lots by echo point.

 it was only $6.00 so i had to pick it up. i am constantly losing my keys and misplacing my phone so thought it could me a place to hold those items. i also stopped by one of my favorite local boutiques the bee hive and picked up a piece of art work for my gallery walls (the walls in the hallway are a total mess).

this piece is by angela traunig creator of frentree studio and its the prefect start. i would actually sing this very song to my daughter when she was a baby. the price was not bad either $18.00 including the white frame total score 

the unfortunate hallway

when you buy a house it takes some time to start to notice the little imperfections.  like i have 5 switches on the left side of the hallway that i have no clue what they go to??? it's so random. but the worst is how beaten up my walls are. i didn't discover the damage until i started painting them.

but i have come up with a solution that i think i will love. i will be creating a gallery of family photos, art work and thing that ace and i collect along the way. somethings will change as i fall in and out of love with things but some will probably last forever. See below for the inspiration:
